Safeguarding
Promoting a Safer Church
Edmonton Baptist Church is committed to the nurturing, protection and safekeeping of all, especially children, young people and vulnerable adults and recognise that this is the responsibility of the whole Church. We undertake proper care in the selection and training of those working with these groups, and ensure DBS checks are undertaken. Our policies are modelled on those produced by the Baptist Union of Great Britain.
To provide oversight and management of these policies and practices we have appointed a Safeguarding Board, a Safeguarding Lead, and a team of Advocates. The Church Meeting affirms its support of our Safeguarding Policy annually.
The current Safeguarding Team comprises:
Safeguarding Lead:
Clare Harvey-Nguyen
Deputy Lead / Advocate:
Advocates:
Isaac Ameyaw, Adolphe Boyaka, Lyleth Higgins, Tony Lander, Hamilton Marshall
Safeguarding Board:
Lydia Johnson
