Baptismal Classes

Edmonton Baptist Church offers baptismal classes 2-3 times a year. There is no obligation to be baptised; you are welcome to attend the classes just to find out more.

Baptism does not make you a believer, it shows that you already are one!
Baptism does not "save" you, only your faith in Christ does that.
 
So why be baptised?
  • Because you want to follow Christ's example.
  • Because Jesus commanded it.
  • Because it shows you are a believer.
  • Because obeying Christ's command shows you know Him.

Jesus said:
"Go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you."                  Matthew chapter 28, verses 19 to 20


What is the meaning of baptism?
  • It is a symbol of Christ's burial and resurrection.
  • It is a symbol of your new life as a Christian.
