Women's Ministry
The role of women in the Bible is invaluable. After God formed Adam, he took the time to fashion Eve who would become the mother of all who live (Genesis chapter 3, verse 20). But the women of the Bible are not just mothers; they are daughters, wives, grandmothers, queens, judges, advisors, prophets, merchants, home makers, church builders, community shapers, leaders, followers, intercessors, worshippers and more importantly, bold witnesses for the Lord Jesus.
At Edmonton Baptist Church, women are involved in every avenue of church life, including leading services, preaching, leading prayer ministry, serving as Deacons, pastoral care, caring for the homeless in the community and managing the administration of the church.
We have lots of opportunities for younger and older women to get involved in the life of the church.
Women of Faith Ministry
Last Saturday of the month (see calendar)
Starts at 3pm in the Hall
We come together in worship and service to our Lord Jesus Christ. The first 45 minutes of this meeting is dedicated to praying for the Persecuted Church, with information gleaned from Christian Solidarity Worldwide (CSW). We encourage and foster relationships with other Christian women and groups from other Churches in our community and further afield, sharing and worshiping together as part of the body of Christ. Guest speakers are invited from these groups and elsewhere. The group attend Conferences and Retreats and arrange periodic events (see our calendar). The Women of Faith take an active role in pastoral care within the church, supporting the Ministers.
"So then, as often as we have the chance, we should do good to everyone, and especially to those who belong to our family in the faith" (Galatians chapter 6, verse 10)
