Step by Step Project 

The Step by Step project was started in 2010 by concerned members of Edmonton Baptist Church who, having observed members within the local community who appeared to be in need of some social help, endeavoured to do something about the situation. After carrying out their initial investigations to find out what was already offered within the local community, it was discovered that in fact, not much was on offer.

This brought to birth the project which is still ongoing to date. On a Wednesday morning from 8:30am onwards take-away bags of food items are distributed. Clothes, toiletries and grocery items are sometimes available as well. We also provide literature about our faith in God.  Our doors are open to any needy person within the community.

The project has had many volunteers over the years, with a number of the original volunteers still present on a Wednesday morning. God has been faithful in providing the resources needed to keep Step by Step functioning week after week and for that we are grateful.
